Pinch off sprouts and branches when there is any branches around 15-20cm (6-8in) tall (You should have planted for more than 30days), prune the leaves and stems taller than 15cm (6in), the leaves that look dry or dead, and the side leaves that are abundantly blocking the way. These sprouts and branches will rob the plant of nutrients. Pinching them off makes sure your growing cherry tomato plants will continue to flourish, allowing you to have more harvest.
Thinning is essential for tomato. Without thinning, your 2 tomato plants will fight against each other for the limited spaces to grow and you will get 2 weak plants. Thinning will help you to get 1 strong plant for the best yield.
Watch the tomatoes for signs of ripening, such as turning red. When they are red, pick them. The riper they are, the easier they are to pull off the plant.
Pollinate the little yellow flowers to produce fruits. Gently shake the plant or brush the outer edge of flower to move pollen into the centre of the flower.
